You can build a healthy relationship through love, mutual respect, understanding, and trust. And with strong foundations, bonds last longer.
People form different relationships with others. We have our family, workmates, and friends at the World Harvest Ministries in Delaware. And what does the Bible say about these ties?
Many friendships end because of jealousy, gossip, and envy. We read in Proverbs 18:24, “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” It is a blessing to have loyal friends who treat you like their own siblings.
Build rapport and camaraderie with colleagues. Avoid overlapping jurisdictions and offer help when you can. Philippians 2:3-4: “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit. Let each of you look not only to his interests but also to the interest of others.”
And for couples who are married, Ephesians 5:33 reminds us that the husband must love his wife as he loves himself. As for the wife, she must respect her husband. It forms a different kind of bond when you go to Church to praise and worship God together.
We build many other types of relationships with different people – people of different traits, attitudes, wealth status, races, and gender. And despite our differences, with the guidance of our Scriptures and our Christian Ministry in Wilmington, Delaware, we can make our ties last a lifetime.
