“ Ugh…you’re Christian?”
We’ve heard many variations of these from non-believers, and it’s understandably frustrating at times. Nu ViZion World Harvest Ministries Int’l, for one, has heard complaints from our members about how frustrating it is to deal with atheists or people with different beliefs.
Yes, disagreements are normal, but they can sometimes spark large fights that benefit neither one of the parties. Peace with our brothers and sisters is something Christian Ministry in Wilmington, Delaware strives to achieve.
So here are some ways you can peacefully communicate with non-believers. Of course, these tips can be used to deal with any sort of disagreement.
- Stop stereotyping.
Christianity is associated with many nasty tragedies in the past, and you need to understand that it still affects how others view us today. This is also how some Christians view those who neither worship nor believe in God.
- “Winning” isn’t the goal here.
Just as you do not want others to push their views and beliefs onto you, you shouldn’t try to do the same to them. Even your peers at World Harvest Ministries in Delaware have their own views about God and His goodness. Try to see things from the other person’s point of view.
We know it’s hard, and we’re here to listen to your struggles. If you want to vent out to people who share your faith, feel free to give us a call. We’re here for you. Dial 302-415-5910 to get in touch.
